Composed in Covid times, Communion asks what intimacies are emergent, reinforced, or lost by the conditions of confinement and isolation. The book was made through a repeated image-making process using an at-home scanner and re-circulated household materials, including bird seed, a flour bag, a takeaway tin, dog fur, kibble, an abandoned tomato plant, and tomato soup packaging. Communion is an attempt to archive the rituals and rhythms under these particular/peculiar circumstances.
